What Is an Access Number?

Modified on Fri, 13 Jan, 2023 at 7:09 AM

An access number is a telephone number that is used to dial into the Internet or any other online service or network. The local access numbers used by Talk Home customers allow them to use our networks to connect calls.

Why Do I Need an Access Number?

If you do not have data or internet connectivity, you can choose to connect your calls through our local access number assigned to you (based on your locality) from the Talk Home App.

How To Use an Access Number?

The Talk Home App gives you the option to connect your calls either through the Internet (3G, 4G, or Wi-Fi) or through local access numbers. If you want to choose your local access number to connect your calls, you can do this in the app settings:

  1. Open the Talk Home App.
  2. Tap the   icon at the top right-hand corner.
  3. From this menu select "Call Setting".
  4. You will find two options to choose from, ‘Local Access Number’ and ‘Internet’.
  5. Select Local Access Number.

This will allow you to connect your calls using our local access number.
